Honey B is a reggae artist based in the U.S. with an uplifting perspective and Caribbean style. Music was always present in her childhood as her grandfather was a multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and composer. Both of her parents loved music and ensured that various genres were playing in the family home and car. She began composing simple songs and poetry before entering grade school and had several pieces published in local anthologies as a youth. Formative years spent frequenting the Bay Area music scene in California solidified her appreciation for reggae, world beat, blues and hiphop.
Honey B spent over a decade in the West Indies when her mom taught primary school there. Country life and island culture made a deep, lasting impression on her ideals and musicality. In Jamaica, giant home-made sound systems boomed from every hilltop and corner shop. The wit and wisdom of local proverbs, patois and slang captured her interest and reverence. She became aware of the devastating effect that colonial standards had on the preservation of the melodic and historical language. She realized the vital importance of people like Miss Lou (Louise Bennet) and Oliver (Samuels) who sought to sustain and protect its brilliance and humor.
Born in Kingston, Jamaica on April 20th reggae artist, Lavaah Goodaz grew up passionately watching and imitating entertainers such as Halle Berry, Beres Hammond, Lady Saw, and Tanya Stephens so it was no surprise that she naturally grew to be a diverse and talented entertainer in her own right. Lavaah was determined at a tender age that her success would pave the way for her family and at six-teen she began her modeling career. While she gained valuable experience ultimately her curvaceous five foot two voluptuous frame proved quite a challenge in the modeling industry.
Never discouraged Lavaah decided to turn to her love of song writing and performing. “One day I decided I’m going to write a song and after a few weeks I had almost a dozen songs written and it was then that I knew I would pursue my career as a reggae artist.” She created the name Lavaah Goodaz, which stands for “Hot Goodness” because she is HOT and GOOD!!!
She is currently promoting her first reggae mixtape CD titled: As GOODAZ It Gets Pt.1, a versatile combination of original and “cover” material released October 2011 having already sold close to One Thousand Units independently; Lavaah is anxious and excited preparing for her first upcoming tour starting on May 4th, 2012 on the It Buck Tour.
In addition, on May 4th, 2013 Lavaah also had the privilege of opening up a show for reggae artist I-Octane at the West Indians club in Hartford, CT. You can download her hit single “I’m In Love” on iTunes, and also watch her video which was shot the beginning of February 2013 and released on Valentine’s Day. In addition, be sure to look out for her two new music videos “Bare Foot” and “Make It Hard” which will be released in June 2013, as well as future collaborations with various artists.

Producer Emanuel “German” Schirmer is excited about his foray into Reggae music with the release of the Timeless Vibes rhythm. By: Claude Mills The project, which will be distributed by VPAL, will be released on January 14 via all digital online distribution outlets. The artistes on the project include Freddie McGregor, Christopher Martin, Busy Signal, Chin McGregor, Anthony B, Bugle, Bramma, Singing Sweet, Kenny Smyth, Fyah George and Ashari.
“We’re also doing a music video for Chris Martin’s song tomorrow, which will be released next week,” said German, Schirmer is best known for the Genna Bounce rhythm — arguably his most successful dancehall juggling project so far — and working with a number of dancehall artistes. He relished the experience and challenge of doing a one-drop project.
“The experience was different from doing a dancehall rhythm because I worked with live musicians Dalton Browne and Robbie Lynn, and Freddie McGregor also had an input in terms of the arrangement of the rhythm. I definitely enjoyed working with those legendary musicians,” he said. “We did the live overdubs after I came up with the initial version of the rhythm, but it ended up sounding very different after the musicians added their parts,” he continued.
His favourite producers are a virtual who’s who in the world of reggae music. His favourite reggae producers are Sly & Robbie, Steely & Clevie, Bobby Digital, Don Corleon, he said.
German has built up an impressive CV with Emudio Records in only a few years. He has worked with a number of dancehall acts including Aidonia, Mavado, Jahmiel, Shenseea, Jada Kingdom, Alkaline, Dexta Daps and Busy Signal.
He teamed up with Govana for a slew of hits such as as Gyal Clown, Convo, Better Than That featuring Jada Kingdom, Gyal Thief and Shrimp Patty. Other noteworthy dancehall singles are Jada Kingdom’s Budum, Jahmiel’s I Need You and Govana’s Still.
His last dancehall juggling project was the Signature rhythm, released in August last year.
Aaron The Rod, otherwise known as Aaron Silk is a singer, songwriter and a
soulful artist with words of inspiration, motivation and love for life and all that
it has to offer. Ambitious and hardworking his aptitude or greatness is
unquestionable.
His voice is mesmerizing. Surrounded by music from early it was only natural that his
audiences were riveted when he began singing professionally at a very young age. From
as young as age 12, he was performing in Clarendon, Manchester, St. Elizabeth on the
Jamaica Cultural Development Commission road shows.
His first single “Show I the Way” was written by Aaron and his brother the late legend
Garnet Silk. It was recorded and released in 1995. Since then Aaron has worked with
several established Jamaican Reggae producers such as Penthouse Recordings, Cell
Block Recording, Black Scorpio Recordings, Mixing Lab, Sly & Robbie, Moses Production,
Fateyes Records, just to name a few. He is best known for his song, Right Path, from
the Lalabella riddim, produced by Flames Production.
Aaron’s first album was released in 2000, and was produced by Mikey Chung for Culture
Shock Records Co. Ltd. Bless I Oh Jah is a 13-track album and is ‘livicated’ to his
brother Garnet Silk and distributed by VP Records. It propelled him to touring all 52
states of the USA, and the Caribbean, with the likes of Reggae greats such as Freddie
McGregor, Daddy U Roy, Glen Washington, among others. It received much musical
acclaim when it debuted and continues to perform well.
Aaron’s electrifying and commanding performances have seen him performing both
locally and internationally. He has performed on shows such as the Internationally
Acclaimed Reggae Festival Reggae Sumfest, the greatest One Night Reggae show Sting,
Rebel Salute, Montréal Reggae Festival, Bob Marley Festival in Canada and LA, Irie
Jamboree, Conscious Romaspalsh in Italy and renowned German Reggae Festival, Reggae
Jam Festival.
Despite a demanding schedule for his album production, Aaron has also taken the time
to give back to Jamaica by joining with other Jamaican artistes to raise awareness on
climate change and its impacts for small islands under a project called
“Voices for Climate Change Education.” This sees him going on tour in communities
and schools across Jamaica to share climate and environment messages. In 2015,
Aaron represented the Caribbean along with Adrian Martinez, from Belize, at the United
Nations Framework Convention meeting held in Paris, France for the Caribbean’s 1.5 to
stay alive climate justice campaign, funded by the Caribbean Community Climate Change
Centre and implemented by Panos Caribbean.
Other European performances include a 3-day lunch hour concert series at the United Nations Framework

In 2019, Aaron consulted as Artistic Director on the Voices for Climate Change Education
awareness campaign implemented by Panos Caribbean and funded by the Planning
Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), which focused on raising adaptation and community
awareness in key sectors impacted by climate change in Jamaica. Over the 9-months,
4 school concerts and 4 community concerts were produced, along with several
workshops which engaged, community Artists as well as International Reggae Artists,
such as Anthony Cruz and Duane Stephenson.
Aaron has now released his new album, self-titled “Aaron”. The album has thirteen
tracks and features collaborations with Luciano, Flourgon and Charlie Chaplin.
The album features songs such as “Positive Vybz, Family’s Table, Gangsta Role and
Herb Tree.
Both Albums from this creative and soulful artiste are definitely a collector’s item with
words of inspiration, social commentary and love for everyone.
